Knowledge, goals and links

Short answer

The agent knows only what you tell it: a short description of your account, your goal and audience, the knowledge base, extra instructions and the links it may share. It states facts only from the knowledge base; if something isn’t there, it says it will check and hands the chat to you.

About, goal and audience

  • Account type and “About your account”: what you do and what you offer.
  • Goal: the one next step you want, e.g. “book discovery calls” or “sell the summer course”.
  • Audience: who writes to you, e.g. “freelance designers starting out”.

Knowledge base

Prices, opening hours, shipping, refunds, FAQs. One fact per line works best:

  • Coaching: €290/month, weekly call
  • Shipping: CH 1–2 days, EU 3–5 days, free above €50
  • Refunds: 30 days, no questions asked

The agent never invents a price or a date that isn’t here. A short, current knowledge base beats a long one: delete what is outdated.

Other instructions

Rules that apply in every chat, e.g. “Never discuss competitor pricing” or “Always offer the free call before the paid package.”

Add links with a label, e.g. “Book a call” or “Shop”. When one fits the conversation, the agent sends it as a link card after its reply.

Link cards are tracked links: clicks are counted, and with Shopify or Stripe connected, orders are attributed to the agent.

Can I upload a PDF or website?

Not yet. Paste the facts as text; one fact per line gives better answers than whole pages anyway.
