Campaigns: messaging many contacts at once

Last reviewed:

Short answer

A campaign sends one flow to many contacts at once — for a launch, a reminder or a last call. Instagram only allows business messages to people who wrote to you in the last 24 hours, so every audience counts only those reachable people: all of them, your followers among them, or one folder.

Audiences

AudienceWho gets it
All reachableEveryone who wrote to you in the last 24 hours
Reachable followersFollowers among them
Reachable in a folderPeople in one folder who wrote in the last 24 hours

The number next to each audience is exactly who receives the campaign. Opted-out contacts are skipped automatically.

Sending and scheduling

Write the messages with the same steps as automations, then click Send now or pick a time and Schedule. A scheduled campaign counts the audience at the moment it is sent.

The Free plan includes 3 campaigns per month; Plus has no limit. Only owners and admins can send.

Grow your reachable audience first: a story with “Reply YES for early access” gives you a list of people you may message for 24 hours.

Questions? Answers.

Why can’t I message all my contacts?

Instagram’s rules allow business messages only within 24 hours of the person’s last message. DMowl enforces this so your account stays safe.

Can I see results?

Each sent campaign shows sent messages, replies and conversions (clicks on tracked links).
