Giveaways: entries, follow checks and the draw

Create a giveaway with a prize and the number of winners, choose the keyword people comment to enter, and activate the entry automation. DMowl checks the follow if you require it, confirms each entry by DM, draws winners at random with a draw record and can DM the winners automatically.
Running a giveaway
- 1 Create it
Under Giveaways, enter a name, the prize, the number of winners and optionally an end date. Tick “Entrants must follow you” for a verified follow check.
- 2 Activate the entry automation
Pick the keyword. DMowl builds the flow: follow check → entry → confirmation, with public replies under the comment.
- 3 Share your post
People comment the keyword and receive the entry DM. Entrants appear on the giveaway page.
- 4 Draw
Click Draw. Winners are picked at random from eligible entries; with a follow requirement each winner’s follow is re-checked and unfollowers are skipped. A draw can only happen once.
Winner message and transparency
Write the winner message with the “+ Variable” buttons for first name and prize, and tick “DM the winners automatically”. The draw record shows when the draw happened, how many people entered and how many were eligible.
You can also close entries without drawing.

Can I require likes or tags?
Likes cannot be verified through the Instagram API. Follows are checked; comments are the entry itself.
Does the giveaway need its own post?
No, but a dedicated post makes the rules clear. Instagram requires you to state that the giveaway is not run by Instagram.
