How to connect Claude to your Instagram account

Why Claude and Instagram work well together

   Connect Instagram to DMowl

   Create a DMowl account and connect your Instagram professional account during onboarding.

   Add a custom connector

   In Claude open Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector. Name: DMowl. URL: https://dmowl.com/mcp. Click Add.

   Connect and allow

   Click Connect next to DMowl. A DMowl page opens: sign in, choose the account and click Allow.

   Use it in a chat

   Open the tools menu in a chat, make sure DMowl is on, and ask: “What can you do with my DMowl account?”

Connectors you add on claude.ai are also available in the Claude desktop app with the same account. Which plans can add custom connectors is up to Anthropic; on team plans an admin may need to add it first.

Setup in Claude Code

Developers can use DMowl from the terminal. Run: claude mcp add --transport http dmowl https://dmowl.com/mcp. Then type /mcp in Claude Code, pick dmowl and choose Authenticate. Your browser opens the same Allow page.

For CI jobs and scripts without a browser, create an API key in DMowl under Settings → API & MCP and pass it as a header instead: --header "Authorization: Bearer pk_live_…".
